Life Baker Group of Schools, on March 6, 2025, proudly joined readers around the world in celebrating World Book Day; a special event dedicated to honoring the power of books and the joy of reading.
This year’s World Book Day celebration at Life Baker was vibrant, imaginative, and truly unforgettable. The event was funfiled with a character dress-up parade that turned the school grounds into a colorful “living library.” Students stepped into the shoes of their favorite literary icons, ranging from timeless legends like Williams Shakespeare, Chinua Achebe, Buchi Emecheta, Flora Nwapa, Maya Angelou, Wole Soyinka, Cyprain Ekwensi to inspiring heroes such as Nelson Mandela and Barack Obama.

The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as storytelling met creativity in the most expressive way.The celebration did not stop there. Students also dazzled the audience with stage performances inspired by classic and contemporary works of literature. From dramatic scenes to playful excerpts, they brought beloved stories to life with passion, confidence, and flair. Each act was a testament to the creativity, talent, and boldness we nurture in our learners. But beyond the costumes and performances, World Book Day at Life Baker was a powerful reminder of what books truly represent. They are bridges of knowledge, sources of inspiration, and lifelong companions on the journey of discovery.
At Life Baker, we are deeply committed to creating learning experiences that go beyond the classroom. This celebration was not just about reading, it was about cultivating a culture of imagination, critical thinking, and self-expression.
As always, we remain proud of our students’ enthusiasm and spirit. World Book Day 2025 showed us once again that reading is not just a school activity but a lifelong adventure that shapes who we are and who we can become.
