About Life Baker

Twenty years of baking lives.

From one daycare room in Ijoko to a day and boarding group spanning age one to eighteen, built a floor at a time.

A daycare centre in Ijoko

Life Private School, as it was then known, opened with a single goal, to offer total quality education with integrity to children who had been failed elsewhere.

From daycare to a group of schools

Pre-primary grew into primary, primary into secondary, and secondary into advanced level. All on one campus, all under the same standard. The buildings went up one floor at a time, paid for out of what the school earned.

The record starts being counted

More than two thousand A1s have been recorded across Core Sciences, Arts and Commercial subjects since this year, and the run of one hundred per cent WAEC and NECO results began.

An examination hall filled with candidates at desks

Eight trades, and a hostel

Every student takes at least one of eight funded entrepreneurship programmes. Boarders live on site under resident staff. There is a medical centre, a CBT hall, laboratories and a band.

Ten years running

Ten consecutive years of one hundred per cent in WAEC and NECO, a top JAMB score of 331, and a WAEC sheet on which every candidate took five distinctions or better.

What we stand for

  1. 01

    Total quality, with integrity

Our values are predicated on a desire to redirect and reshape the educational misdirection left by those who came before, and to see that quality is delivered honestly to every pupil.

  2. 02

A welfare unit that knows every child

Our student-welfare unit is led by seasoned guidance counsellors on hand to support, assist and advise each child throughout their time at Life Baker.

  3. 03

    Equity and community

Diversity shapes daily life here. Teachers work deliberately on questions of identity in the classroom, and moral responsibility is expected of everyone.

  4. 04

    Facilities that make it possible

Purpose-built facilities give both Arts and Science learners fertile ground for excellence, taught by experienced and qualified staff.
