Ages 1 to 5

The first classroom should feel like somewhere kind.

Daycare, creche, nursery and kindergarten, where school stops being a strange place and starts being theirs.

A day here

What actually happens between drop-off and home time.

  1. Arrival

Dropped at the gate, walked in by a familiar face. Bags down, names ticked, a settling song.

  2. Morning circle

Register, weather, calendar, a story. The routine that makes the rest of the day feel safe.

  3. Learning through play

Letters, numbers and language, taught with sand, water, blocks and a great deal of talking.

  4. Snack & outdoors

Fruit, water and running about. Gross motor skills are on the timetable, not squeezed around it.

  5. Creative time

Painting, music, dressing up, building. Mess is expected and cleaned up together.

  6. Rest & home time

A quiet mat for the little ones, then handover, with a word to whoever collects them.

What we promise

Four things we will not compromise.

  • Small groups, known faces

Children are with the same adults every day. At this age, attachment is the curriculum.

  • Ready for Basic 1

They leave able to read simple text, handle numbers, hold a pencil properly and sit through a lesson.

  • Settling done gently

New children start on a phased timetable. Nobody is left crying at a gate to "get used to it".

  • One campus, one family

Older siblings are a corridor away, and the child already knows the school they will move up into.

The room itself

Soft floors, low shelves, and somewhere to nap.
