Life Baker Online School is open, and it is bigger than most people realise. The library now holds over two thousand structured lesson videos covering JSS1 through to SSS3, recorded subject by subject rather than dumped in as a pile of unsorted recordings.
The app is available on Google Play today. The iPhone and iPad version is in the queue at the App Store and will follow.
Lessons are live in Mathematics, English, Home Economics, Food and Nutrition and Civic Education, with more than twenty further subjects in production.
Pricing is deliberately simple. A subject costs 5,000 naira. You take the subjects you need and nothing else, with no bundle you did not ask for and no term you have to commit to up front.
It was built mobile first for an obvious reason: a phone is what a Nigerian student actually has to hand. A child can work on the way home, in the evening, or through a week of school they had to miss, and watch a topic again as many times as it takes without having to ask anyone.
