Unbelievable!!!: Life-Baker Group of Schools Provides a Ground-breaking Solution to Nigeria's Ravaging Unemployment Problem.
According to the 2020 poverty index, Nigeria is the world's poorest country with over 87 million people living in abject poverty on less than $1 a day. This indicates that over 87 million Nigerians live on less than N500 per day. Despite this sad circumstance, the unemployment rate has been steadily rising. Indeed, in an interview with President Buhari on NTA for Democracy Day 2021, he stated that “the federal government has no more vacancies. Virtually every department is filled, the same thing in the state and the local government, so you can have a good degree and never have a job.”
While the Buhari administration works diligently to reduce unemployment, Life-Baker Group of Schools has worked tirelessly to disrupt the status quo. As a result, Life-Baker group of schools has invested millions of naira in providing its students with a choice of eight entrepreneurial programs. Catering Craft, Leather Works, Music and Entertainment, Wood Work, Visual Arts, Fashion Design, Electrical Installation, and Computer Studies are among the entrepreneurship programs.
The school requires all students to participate in at least one entrepreneurial program. The school believes that by training its students to be not just academically bright but also skilled students with entrepreneurial ideas, they would be able to generate millions of jobs over time. As a result, the poverty rate will fall and the unemployment rate will drop significantly. Our students will not be looking for jobs when they graduate from higher institutions, they will become job creators and financially free.
